The reasoning behind all this...

To experience the natural world of the bush

To meet the rural Africans of one small village

To have a wondrous vacation.

Our world needs more and more and more people who move beyond the idea of borders and nations, people who sincerely want to make contact with others everywhere. These tours are my way of offering what I know about the African world that has captured my heart and imagination. My hope is that good will come for all from connections made while living in the Lowveld.

The bush and the rural way of life are not going to last forever as they are now – I don't want you to be one of the ones who misses this experience!

I know what happens when people come to spend two weeks in the bush and I love watching. Sometimes it is the elephants or the birds or the baobab tree, sometimes it is the screaming song of the three year olds at the nursery school or looking aut at the eager faces of a fifth grade class waiting for you to speak. You will be thrilled, touched, dissolved, expanded and changed in some very vital way.

It satisfies me when friends come and begin to appreciate and understand Africa better. What I know is that the people who have shared this land with me have returned feeling a deep connection to Africa and a hopeful inspired sense of what it is to be a citizen of the world.
